The multi-factor authentication process
The multi-factor authentication process begins with the presentation of your login credentials, such as your password. Subsequently, the user is required to provide at least one additional element to verify her identity. This second element can be "Something you own": a physical token, an authentication application on your smartphone, or a smart card. “Something you are”: Such as biometric data, such as fingerprints or facial recognition.
